El Macero

El Macero is an unincorporated community in Yolo County, California, located just southeast of Davis. Known for its tranquil atmosphere and upscale residences, El Macero offers a blend of suburban comfort and golf country club living. El Macero used to have its own zip code 95618, and its own post office.

Fast forward to 2013, due to the city of Davis expansion and the need to use another zip code, the east side of Davis, bordered by Pole Line Road, applied 95618 as a permanent address zip code. El Macero post office was closed. Currently, El Macero receives various services from the city of Davis, including postal services and trash collection. Many of Davis residents are not aware that El Macero is not located within the city of Davis jurisdiction.
